Before
Before you make a surgical appointment, take all the time you need to think about your decision.
Dr. Trévidic and his assistant are at your disposal for further information on the procedure or for administrative questions. We can even provide another examination if your physical situation has changed since your last visit.
His assistant will help schedule you for surgery. She will provide you with all the information you need about where the surgery will take place, and will give you an appointment for your preliminary consultation with the anaesthesiologist.
The time given to you for your surgical appointment is for information purposes only and can be changed according to the surgery schedule at the clinic.
Your consultation with the anaesthesiologist must be scheduled at least 48 hours and up to 3 months before your operation. The anaesthesiologist will examine you and ask you for complementary exams (blood work, radiology or others) if necessary. He will also tell you which medications to continue or to stop before surgery.
While you are at the clinic leave your jewelry and cash at home.
If you are hospitalized for several days, don't forget your personal medication. Bring comfortable clothing that can be washed easily as certain disinfectants stain clothing.
Do not forget the results of your examinations that your anaesthesiologist prescribed. Bring the last xrays, the homeopathic medications prescribed by Dr. Trévidic, the ice mask (physiopack), and compressive garments (girdle, bra, tights, hose) as they are often needed directly after surgery.
For outpatient surgery, do not eat anything after midnight the night before your surgery.
