Breast lift surgery (mammary ptosis)
Mammary ptosis is a collapse of the mammary gland and a distension of the skin.
It can be hereditary but also the result of weight loss or a pregnancy with breastfeeding.
This surgical intervention consists in reconcentrating and lifting the gland and removing excess skin, all the while adjusting the nipple and the areola to their proper place. Surgery should allow you to obtain the same volume without a bra that you have when you are wearing one.
I will explain my technique and the length and placement of the scar at the preliminary consultation.
The procedure is performed under general anaesthetia and requires a 24 hour hospital stay. There is minimal pain involved.
After surgery you will have to wear a support bra for one month. The intervention does not require any specific medical follow-up nor does in interfere with breastfeeding and pregnancy.
